Jamell Cervantez

Jamell Cervantez is a former collegiate baseball player and coach with over a decade of experience developing athletes and helping them take the next step toward college baseball. A four-year varsity starter at Topeka West High School, Jamell’s standout performance earned him induction into the Topeka West Athletics Hall of Fame. He continued his playing career at Hutchinson Community College, where he was named to the JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team in 2010, before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. Although his playing career was cut short by injury, it opened the door to his next calling — coaching.

Jamell began his coaching career as a Student Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, followed by seven seasons as an Assistant Coach at Hutchinson Community College, and later as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Wichita State University. During that time, he played an active role in recruiting high school and college athletes, gaining firsthand insight into what college coaches truly look for in prospective players.

Having recruited athletes nationwide to programs at every level, Jamell brings a unique dual perspective — as both a player who once navigated the recruiting process himself and as a college coach who evaluated and recruited talent. His mission now is to use that experience to guide families through the process with honesty, clarity, and a deep understanding of how to help athletes get noticed and reach their college baseball goals.

Jeff Oldenburg

Jeff graduated from Wichita North High School and went on to play college baseball at Newman University, where he earned a degree in business management. He also competed in collegiate summer leagues in Kansas, Arizona, and California before advancing to play Independent Ball with the Whitesands Pupfish (NM) and the Rincon Turistas in Puerto Rico.

When his playing career ended, Jeff began coaching at Circle High School, helping set the school record for wins and securing a regional playoff victory. He later took over the baseball program at Life Prep Academy, where his teams consistently competed at a national level, won multiple championships, and even upset a nationally ranked top-30 program. Over six seasons, every senior under Jeff’s leadership earned a college scholarship offer, while he built strong relationships with college coaches and pro scouts across the country.

In addition to coaching, Jeff is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). He co-owned the Wichita Aeros Baseball Organization for eight years, focusing on player development and recruiting. Across his career with the Aeros and Life Prep, Jeff has guided over 150 athletes through the recruiting process, helping them secure scholarships at colleges across the U.S.
